Day 13 – A walk on the border of Triglav National Park
An unfruitful climb After a morning swim we enjoy breakfast and the last hours in the campsite. M cooks one of her amazing Dahl that we eat for an early lunch, before check-out time. At 12 we pay the camping and leave towards the small climbing spot of Gorje, not far from Bled castle. The campsite was expensive, we didn’t really realize that the tourist tax for two people on two days would have been of 12 euros. Therefore, two days in a campsite in front of Bled lake, for two people, without electricity… 82 euros! We wonder how can people stay a full week and yet pay for extra…

Day 10 & 11 – Triglav North Face – The Edge of Slovenian Alps
Previous Next Triglav National Park in the Julian Alps The alarm rings early, at 7:45 we are buying cakes and bread at the bakery. At 8:15 we reach Mojstrana and leave the main road for the 908, the countryside road that follows Triglavska Bistrica, the river descending from mount Triglav. We drive deep inside Vrata valley and end up in the earth of Triglav National Park. We leave the van in the parking, which costs 5 euros and is managed by the park authority. Day 6 – The Greens and the Greys of Slovenian Alps
Early bird in Austria The alarm rings at 7am after a rainy -and noisy- night. The fun thing is that we got to bed saying that we are glad the van is well isolated, and then spent the night hearing the drops of water hitting the metal roof. After the last breakfast in Italy we cross the border and stop by the first Austrian village to buy rice, vegetables and bread. We follow the road 83 until Villach, where we are supposed to find a gas station selling cooking gas.
